Drug Unit

The ultimate goal of the Brooke County Sheriff’s Department Drug Unit is to reduce drug-related crimes and make a safe environment for the citizens of Brooke County.

The Brooke County Sheriff’s Department Drug Unit is made up of two components: The Hancock-Brooke-Weirton Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force and the Brooke County Sheriff’s Department Detective Unit.

The Drug Task Force is composed of Federal, State, County and Municipal Officers. The mission of the Task Force is to identify and prosecute Drug Trafficking Organizations (DTOs) and assist Law Enforcement Agencies with violent crimes within the capacity of Brooke and Hancock Counties.

Deputies assigned to the Hancock-Brooke-Weirton Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force have the mission of identifying and prosecuting drug dealers in rural and municipal Brooke and Hancock Counties.
